1948 WILD WEST BUNGALOW GARDEN

This bungalow was previously owned by Cactus Jack. He showcased many western cacti, tropical palms, and agaves along with beautiful stonework and hand-crafted fences. He has since moved on to a larger property, but his legacy lives on in this bungalow.

Palms, agaves, and yucca for dry garden

Hard to imagine this is Houston, Texas in the wetter, more humid part of the state.
Salvia add a dash of color throughout the year.
Sadly, the hard freeze from 2010 took its toll on the garden.
Located near Oak Forest Elementary School ~ Oak Forest neighborhood.
