I was delighted to see this piece of art parked right in front of our house this week. We have about 5 or 6 art car owners in this part of town, but I'd never seen this one. The bumper sticker said, "Don't try to outweird me...don't even try." But that's exactly what those other art cars are tempted to do.

We also have an Art Car Museum along with an Art Car Parade here in Houston. I've never been, but it's on my list of places to visit.

That's a pretty great car! I will have to check out the museum when I visit there next time. Hitting Houston's great museums is one of the ways we stay cool and pass the time. The other ways are riding around in the air conditioning and looking at the great bungalows and of course, eating at Ninfas and Nico Nicos rounds out the rest of the visit. We had an "art" car back in my hometown in Louisiana that, in my humble opinion, was not that fantastic. I'm really not sure that it qualified as an "art car"; however, it did have things artistically glued upon its rusty body in various locations. It even made one of those "People of Wal-Mart" emails that are circulating. haha Thanks for visiting my blog this morning and sharing your funny story about your bet with your son.
